In November 2023, I met up with a new friend I had connected with on the internet through photography communities such as Threads, Instagram, Refrakt, etc. His name is
, and he's a really great guy. It was fun to stroll around Hoboken with him, reminiscing as he used to live there for some time with his wife, Diana. We spent a couple of hours there, and I think we both captured some great shots considering the weather conditions. Now that I think about it, we managed to beat the rain as we parted ways. Perfect.I decided to bring my Leica Q with me for this one. There's something about the simplicity of the camera that I truly enjoy. Additionally, I appreciate the fact that it features a full-frame sensor. While some may argue that there's little to no difference compared to crop-sensor types like the Fuji X-Pro2 (which I also own), to my eyes, there is a bit more "breadth" to the images. I suppose it's a matter of personal preference.

This last one of the car on fire was on my way back home after our walk. Hand held while driving. My favorite part of this is the sign. One hell of a gift…
Also, be sure to check out Tom’s post from our walk as well here.
Thanks for looking and reading. I’ll try to post another edition of photo-walk series with my friend Trent. Stay tuned!
I really like the blocks of color in your second shot Colin, the car in the empty lot – one of my favorites of yours from that day.
Glad to see Hoboken is as photo-rich as ever... I love the shot of the headless man!
